Moving to a larger brand new field station in Burgundy
|
|
Initially, established at Sainte Marie la Blanche (Center Burgundy), this station became too small for our increasing activities in this area.
This facility -recently built especially for trial purposes- is located in the East of Burgundy (North of Chalon region). This station is run by 8 agronomists and project managers.
As other field stations, this one is also connected to STAPHYT central server. For quick, secure and efficient communication between all people involved in all the studies.
This station is located in a representative farming area with key crops such as vineyard, black currant, oil seed rape and is also close to pastures from Jura area.
This relocation has been fully anticipated: a new irrigated vineyard for trial purpose has been planted sometimes ago. Nevertheless, the vineyard from previous location will continue to be used as a transition period.
New address:

STAPHYT celebrates its 20th birthday
|
STAPHYT is 20 years old and is now a reference in EU in the areas of plant health.
Year after year, we have widely invested in sustainable development and innovation (ISO 14001, IT, …)
“Acting for plant health” is now -on the occasion of our 20th birthday- our key-justification.

Others areas of progress
|
During 2008, Staphyt has progressed in many domains:
- ISO 14001 Accreditation : Another step towards Excellence and Sustainable Development, maintaining a flexible, open and clear organisation.
- Acquisition of a new research facility in Southern France, near Montpellier (Marsillargues)
This newly acquired facility (early 2008) including 15 ha of planted crop, is located in the middle of a key agricultural area with various crops which are very representative of the South of Europe. The station called « La Paluzette » enables agronomists to carry out field trials on any crops such as vine, top fruits, arable crops, vegetables. They can also implement glasshouse trials and other controlled conditions studies.
- First season for 3 more field stations: Drome (Rhone valley), Landes (far south west) and Languedoc/Marsillargues.
- OPerator EXposure studies: Large type of GLP studies has been carried out for OPEX purposes on grapes, alfalfa, banana (Martinique Island), using passive dosimetry techniques. |
